Are you a Mechanical Maintenance Technician with a passion for continuous improvement using Lean principles? If so, we may have the ideal role for you. We are currently looking for a driven individual who is looking for their next career move. Your key responsibilities will be to drive process improvements using lean manufacturing tools throughout the site continually involving all operations in continuous improvement activity.
Duties:-
• Working closely with the Engineering Director, identify and introduce process improvements using lean manufacturing tools and techniques
• To take the lead in site in initiatives and projects thus contributing to the continuous improvements of the site
• Design, development and modification of plant processes
• Undertake planned and preventative maintenance to achieve maximum mechanical efficiency targets
• Carry out root cause analysis of mechanical issues
• Train and guide staff in new initiatives and introduce best practices
• Installation, commissioning, trialling and testing of new plant
• Implement and lead improvements in lean tools such as 5s
Key skills:
• Qualified to a minimum of HNC in Mechanical Engineering
• Good working knowledge of lean principles
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work to tight production targets
