Our Client requireds a Mechanical Fitter:

To be able to provide a professional, quality of craftsmanship and customer orientated delivery of service to all internal customers

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Carry out mechanical repairs and installations to the current regulations.

• The ability to work from detailed drawings and circuit diagrams.

• Testing and inspection of mechanical installations and appropriate remedial action where required.

• Working with a wide range of mechanical installations and specialist equipment such as vacuum furnaces and ESR furnaces.

• To be able to carry out diagnostic fault finding on a wide range of installations, equipment and

• Work within the procedures of Safety Method Statements and where necessary work within

• The ‘duty of care’ of employees to all Health and Safety legislation appropriate to your post

• And towards colleagues, customers.

• Ensure that all accidents are reported when they happen.

• Ensure employee compliance within the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

• Able to work at heights either by ladder or scaffold when required and recognise and use any

• To be able to recognise training requirements specific to the post or for future advancement

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED:

• Ensure that all worksheets, documents etc (electronically or by paper) are submitted correctly and on time as and when necessary

• Any other duties commensurate with the grade and falling within the scope of the post as requested by Management

• To ensure that Personal Protective (PPE) provided is maintained at an adequate level in serviceable condition and always used when and where appropriate.

KEY AREAS:

• To assist in the delivery of service improvements to meet help meet department objectives.

• To assist in gaining and retaining accreditation from the necessary bodies to achieve organisational goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Qualified to HNC level

• A recognized mechanical apprenticeship

• Experienced engineer ideally with multi skilled work experience

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

• Determined, quality orientated, organized and disciplined

• Able to uphold and maintain systems/standards

• Hands on approach

• Good communicator and listener, analytical and numerate

• Team player

• Ability to interact positively with staff and shop floor across all departments.
