Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Ascot, Berkshire

As the Design Engineer you will be primarily responsible for travelling to our client’s sites in order to conduct site surveys that will allow you to produce comprehensive design drawings, parts lists and installation plans.  You will support the consultancy team by taking detailed measurements on site and then use these to produce accurate, innovative and effective designs. You will work closely with the project manager to ensure projects run successfully and to set timescales.

Ideal Experience

  • Recent experience in an HVAC environment
  • Proven experience in 2D drawing and ideally 3D modelling
  • AutoCAD and ideally Solidworks experience
  • Knowledge of DW144

Ideal skills & abilities

Skills

  • Advanced user of AutoCAD
  • Solidworks experience is advantageous
  • Clear understanding of HVAC, structural and steel work design environments
  • Engineering degree qualification or suitable equivalent

Abilities

  • Driven, Self-starter
  • Reliable and Independent
  • Mechanical aptitude combined with commercial acumen
  • Flexible person who can manage changing priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Relationship management skills

Own transport and a full drivers licence is required.
