MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER - TYNESIDE - TO c40K DOE
Description:
This is an excellent job opportunity for an experienced mechanical design engineer to work for a global player within the energy ndustry.
You will be integral to the project team and have technical input on high value energy projects for blue chip PLC organisations.
Duties:
Component and assembly design from concept to production.
Carry out design calculations/stress calculations to satisfy all aspects of design integrity
Produce design drawings and detailed manufacturing drawings utilising 3D CAD. (Inventor)
Management of prototype testing process, including creation of test procedures, test schedules, results and report writing.
Ensure new products are designed and optimised for international manufacture.
Prepare for manufacturing readiness including preparation of BOMs, part numbering structures etc
Experience and Skills Required
Applicants should be degree qualified, ideally in mechanical engineering and have commercial experience of design calculations using a variety of tools and methods.
Any experience with 3D CAD such as Autodesk Inventor welcome as is the use of Ansys, STAAD or MathCAD .
