Master Production Scheduler - Henstridge

Our client is looking to recruit a Production Scheduler with significant Production Planning experience gained in an engineering environment and preferably with some engineering training. The location is Henstridge and the salary will be £25k - £27k dependant on experience.

In this role you will interpret customer requirements and plan the processing sequence and work centre loading of the manufacturing facility to maximise plant utilisation and customer service.

Role Tasks & Accountabilities: To translate customer demand to site production plan daily / hourly allocating orders; To work with manufacturing staff to determine capacity limitations on a daily basis and modify the production plan accordingly; To inform commercial department of actual and potential restrictions to output; To produce periodic analysis on plant utilisation; To support manufacturing staff in the identification of opportunities to improve plant utilisation and customer service; To escalate capacity / service issues to the Group Category Planner ASAP to resolve service restrictions; To ensure the efficient use of stock through optimisation or raw material usage; To identify transport requirements and optimise transport utilisation; Complete the daily transport report and co-ordinate costs with the transport co-ordinator; Measure and report schedule adherence against work centre plans "daily / weekly"

The successful candidate must have a substantial amount of Production Scheduling experience and exposure to manufacturing generally. You will have strong analytical problem-solving abilities, the ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks and work in a methodical manner. You will have advanced knowledge of finite capacity planning and Microsoft Excel etc, strong collaborative ability and high levels of focus and sustained concentration.
