Your role will be to develop, establish and maintain a company wide marketing strategy that delivers against the companies corporate objectives. In consultation with senior managers ensure that the organisation is presented and promoted to external parties in a consistent and professional manner through multiple media to increase company profile and lead to new business opportunities.
Duties will include:
* The development and implementation of the Marketing Strategy, to cover all aspects of marketing across the company supporting corporate growth strategies
* Conduct research to determine marketing requirements to meet growth objectives
* Main point of contact for all media and develop relationships with key media personnel as part of an action plan linked to the corporate marketing strategy
* Ensure timely production of corporate publications, both internal and external, including annual reports for the company and its subsidiaries, internal briefings and service user/staff magazines
* Taking the lead on the ongoing development of the website to ensure that it meets the requirements of the business and effectively promotes the company and its services
* Providing advice and support on marketing matters across all aspects of the business
* Acting as the corporate lead for events management for all conferences and events across the group of companies. This will include the project management of key events, the management of resources and the provision of support to other colleagues where necessary
* Review and approve communications written by others to ensure that it is effective, clear and takes into account its audience
* As well as assisting the department with other projects or corporate projects as required
The ideal person:
Ideally posses a marketing related qualification
Have gained experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining marketing strategies
Successfully implemented new marketing initiatives with monitored outcomes
Ideally have experience of working within the charitable, not for profit sector
Knowledge and understanding:
Have a comprehensive knowledge of organisation profiling and branding
Understanding the objectives of effective marketing within the social care sector and the necessity of monitoring measurable outcomes
An appreciation of the multiple levels of communication required to deliver against the strategic objectives across the business
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communications skills to audiences at all levels
Ability to formulate excellent working relationships with external parties and staff/colleagues
Creative and innovative approach to tasks
Excellent personal organisation and planning skills
Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
Excellent IT skills including web competence and relevant software applications
