We are looking for an enthusiastic and pro-active individual to help develop two companies, a web consultancy and social networking website, from a marketing perspective.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to the growth of a small business.
Applications are welcomed from candidates with any level of experience, including recent graduates.
The role will initially operate on a fixed-term contract basis.
Responsibilities include:
- Carry out market research and customer surveys to assess demand, brand positioning and awareness
- Prepare and maintain relevant marketing material, including website and email content
- Plan and carry out direct marketing activities
- Develop plans for new functions on the website that will help to retain and grow the client base/membership
- Develop and implement plans for new revenue streams (e.g. events, online advertising)
- Develop and implement plans for recruitment of new clients/members, including developing relationships with businesses/organisations and organising promotional events/roadshows
- Assist in the implementation of new concepts in line with the business plan
- Assist in the testing of new functionality on the website
- Act as moderator for user-generated content on the website
- Respond to member and business enquiries
- Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information
- Attend regular meetings to review plans against progress
- Liaise with technical staff to resolve any issues with the website
- Evaluate marketing campaigns
- Monitor competitor activity

· Must be adept in use of office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint and confident in the use of the internet and email.
