Our client is looking to recruit a Marketing Assistant to support the EMEA Marketing Managers and VP Marketing EMEA. As a Marketing Assistant, you will be effectively executing and measuring successful marketing programmes with the Regional Marketing Managers. The four main areas which the Marketing Assistant would be working within would be the following;
Email Marketing: Managing the day-to-day campaigns and ensuring accurate analysis is carried out before then providing recommendations for improvement. You will also be required to remain up to date on new techniques in order to improve effectiveness of email marketing and to execute and deliver reporting on results using Eloqua.
Database Management: Based on requirements from the EMEA Marketing team you will be required to research and evaluate sources of customer and prospect data as well as ensuring that data coverage meets the needs of the EMEA team for all marketing programmes. You will be expected to keep the database up to date and accurate at all times as well as reporting on data penetration of target market space.
SEO & Online Activity: Ensuring techniques and practices which drive visitors to the company’s EMEA regional websites and EMEA blog are utilized at all times. You will also be working closely with the US team to ensure EMEA practices are in line with global campaigns and best practice. Alongside this you will also be ensuring the company’s local language websites are kept fully up to date and content is accurate and on brand as well as checking that the sites are fully optimised for SEO and Google searches across EMEA.
Event Management: Working to help the marketing managers deliver successful events and seminars including creation of speaker profiles and content, speaker biographies, production and delivery of collateral and branding, event evaluation forms, logistics, invitation and registration tracking and post event evaluation. It will be your responsibility to maintain the EMEA marketing events calendar.
Although the duties listed above would create the majority of the workload, the Marketing Assistant would not be limited to these and so would also be supporting the Marketing Managers by liaising with and managing relevant marketing agencies. This would be to ensure marketing programs are executed flawlessly and meet ROI goals. Agencies including design, print, stand builders, exhibition and events organisations. Another last element to the role would be marketing communications focused; creating and producing the quarterly customer, partner and prospect newsletters.
Our client is ideally looking for a candidate of graduate calibre with a keen interest in all elements of marketing and who desires to build a career in marketing. You must be an individual who copes well under pressure and with deadlines and who has excellent attention to detail. An advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook is essential alongside excellent written skills. Event management experience where you are able to demonstrate ownership and control of an event from creation to delivery is essential. To have experience with marketing automation systems and web analytics tools specifically Eloqua and Google Analytics would be a huge advantage as well as experience with Salesforce.
