Manufacturing Support Operator

Duties to involve:

To work in a busy Finishing department involved in production and packaging operations.

Duties to involve:

• Set up and run a variety of Finishing presses to produce rolls of labels.
• Operate a busy packing line.
• Consistently achieve productivity targets.
• Maintain optimum quality at all times.
• Complete accurate job records - time recording.
• Maintain optimum Health and Safety standards and keep press and work area clean at all times.

 Characteristics;

Essential:

• Physically fit and in good health.
• Capable of working a double day shift and overtime when necessary.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Experience of working night shift and overtime when necessary.
• Show initiative.
• Good numerical skills.
• Quick learner.
• Need a good eye for quality.
• Computer literate.
• Experience working in a fast paced (JIT) wokring environment.
• A good general education.
• Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
• Team player with confident inter-personal skills.
• Good problem solving and decision making skills.
• Flexible approach to duties.
• Must be reliable and conscientious with a flexible approach to duties.
• Ability to follow detailed, specific instructions.

Desirable:

• Experience of working in the label or converting industry.
• experience of operating high speed production machinery
• Live locally/have own transport.

Additional Information

• 37.5 hours per week.
• Shift Pattern - 06.15am- 14.15pm / 14.15pm - 22.15pm (rotating weekly)
• Shift Allowance - 20%
