Manufacturing Production Engineer

Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Production Engineer to join their company based in the North West. The main purpose of this role is to continually improve manufacturing productivity and efficiency through the application of lean engineering methods and techniques. Within this role your main responsibilities will include initiating and implementing process improvements across all areas of manufacturing, applying Lean Engineering principals and theory to recommend on the most effective processes, machinery and equipment for eliminating or reducing waste in all areas of the business. You will also be expected to identify and improve low productivity practices, implement efficient material and product flows and prepare and implement appropriate work instructions.

The successful candidate will have worked within a similar role previously and will have a strong understanding and experience of applying sound lean process engineering methods. You will be numerate and analytical in your approach with excellent IT and communication skills and you will be confident when fact-finding and giving instructions or explanations. You should hold an Engineering Degree and be seeking a hands on role.
