Manager - Financial Services Operation Risk - London

Twenty are currently recruiting for a Manager with experience in operational risk and/ or governance to work for a leading accountancy firm within the Financial Services sector.

The role will involve;

  • Project delivery on a variety of advisory projects plus involvement in internal projects such as training, methodology development and technical research.
  • The Manager’s role will also involve business development and sales activity.
  • The role could also provide potential for longer term career progression for the right candidate in this rapidly developing area of the Firm.

The consulting projects include;

• Development of effective and efficient operational risk frameworks.
• Amending operational risk management within clients’ culture.
• Development of operational risk models and management information.
• Provide support and advice to clients with respect to operational risk data.
• Review specialist operational risk policies such as business continuity planning, outsourcing and modelling.

Responsibilities;

  • Delivery of client consulting projects and providing a high quality advisory service.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with both clients and the wider Financial Services network.
  • Creation and contribution to high quality thought leadership around various areas of Financial Services for written publications, training events, client seminars and conferences.
  • Analysis of new regulation and legislation, identifying impact on target market and potential client offerings.
  • Preparation of high quality client deliverables.
  • Ensure timely project completion by adherence to predetermined timeframes and effectively prioritising tasks.

Key Requirements;

  • Previous experience in risk or internal audit gained in a consultancy or large firm environment, or with a regulator.
  • Wider knowledge of Financial Services risk and regulation, such as FSA rules and guidance on SYSC, ICOBS, INSPRU and CASS would be advantageous.
  • Project management and client handling skills.
  • Excellent report and presentational skills.
  • Experience dealing with senior management.
