Management Information Analyst MI Analyst

SRGEurope are currently recruiting an experienced Management Information (MI) Analyst for a successful insurance client with their main office located in Gibraltar. The MI Analyst will be an individual with excellent analytical and reporting skills including basic SQL and maybe a background in accounting but not essential.

This job as MI Analyst offers the right candidate the chance to work in one of Gibraltar´s fastest growing and most stable sectors. The Business Analyst will report to the Operations Manager. The company is a major player in this expanding market with a presence across Europe.

MI Analyst Role and Responsibilities:

• Extract and analyse data and produce statistical reports and management reports
• Maintain data integrity on the company's proprietary database to enable accurate reporting
• Contribute to the specifying of improvements and modifications to the database
• Assessing the performance of a specific book of business with regard to claims-to-date and forecasted claims
• Querying databases and downloading relevant data
• Producing periodic and ad hoc reports for management
• Analysing data, searching for trends in the Insurance market and identifying anomalies

MI Analyst Skills and Requirements:

• Highly numerate with a good understanding of statistics and forecasting. A minimum of a good grade in A-Level maths
• Ideally educated to degree level but not essential
• Enjoys finding the true meaning with in numbers
• Ability to use Excel to produce forecasting models
• Knowledge of accounting principles - This role would ideally suit a part qualified accountant who is perhaps not intending to pursue accountancy any further and is looking for a change of direction
• A basic understanding of databases and database table structures
• Possible experience of SQL Reporting Services
• Ability to assess a business proposal's value with regard to what-if scenarios and Excel modelling
• Excellent analytical mind and approach
