Position: Management Accountant
Location: Ringmer, East Sussex

ROLE:

The main purpose of this role is to work alongside the Finance Manager to ensure the prompt and accurate production of management information, that all HML companies financial records are kept up to date and accurate and to ensure financial procedures are followed by all HML staff to enable prompt and accurate billing to clients. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) To assist the Finance manager with the production of monthly management accounts for the Board

2) To produce regular and ad-hoc reports and KPI’s for HML group companies management teams.

3) To produce balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis for HML group companies

4) To produce adhoc productivity/profitability reports

5) To raise charges for key clients

6) To assist with year end and audit requirements

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: 

1) Experience in a similar role (i.e. management accounts) 

2) Experience of working in a commercial environment (not practice).

3) Qualified or part qualified (QBE candidates will also be considered).

4) Excellent IT skills including a good working knowledge of Excel and an accounting system (ideally SAGE).

5) Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external parties.

6) The ability to run concurrent projects, prioritising in accordance with business objectives.

7) Self-motivation and an ability to work unsupervised.
