Job Description
My client seeks to add an experienced Management Accountant to their finance team, who will take responsibility for a broad range of cost and price analyses, alongside budgeting and forecasting across the Group.
The main responsibilities will include:
- New product costing to ensure accuracy, taking into consideration forecasted future raw material prices
- Thorough review and update of the accuracy of current costs; including examination of material yields, labour costings and allocation of labour and overheads to products
- Ensuring the accuracy of all systems postings with consistency across the business
- Coordination of an up-to-date and regular sales forecast in the business to aid supply chain planning, cash and profit forecasting
- Issuing regular reports on product and customer profitability analysis, ensuring tie-back to monthly reporting P&L
- Regular product cost updates on inter-company sales
Person Specification
Applicants are expected to demonstrate significant experience in a Management Accounting role, with extensive focus on costing and price analysis. Experience will be credited over level of Qualification, with the client looking at Qualified, Finalist, or Qualified by Experience individuals.
You will need to demonstrate strong IT skills including the use of MS Excel to ensure clarity of reports, and the ability to communicate effectively with people across the business through finance, sales, procurement, operations and at Director level.
Ideally you will come with manufacturing, engineering, FMCG or similar experience, to benefit the nature of the role.
