Contract for 10 months
To work with one other Major works officer within leaseholder services to deal with all statutory consultations notices, invoicing of major works and any associated queries.
Job Role
*Calculate individual leaseholder apportionments for the purposes of Section 20 consultation notices
*Produce S20 consultation notices and S20B notices
*Set up Major Works accounts on finance system
*Calculate individual leaseholder apportionments on Major works final accounts
*Produce final accounts and invoices in respect of Major works
*Respond to queries relating to charging of major works
*Investigate disputes on Major works invoices
*Provide advice to leaseholders and internal departments on section 20 consultation process and payment options for major works
*Attend Section 20 Consultation meetings
Major Works Officer
*Play an integral part in ensuring a high quality leaseholder service
*Provide accurate and timely information on all aspects of consultation, calculation and billing of major works projects
Key Experience:
*Demonstrated understanding of financial information systems and ability to interpret such information.
*Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Landlord & Tenant Act and other relevant legislation in relation to the duties of the post.
* Issuing Section 20 notices experience
* Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and to strict defined timescales.
*Proficient in the use of excel
*Experience of Northgate (iWorld, SX3) and OLAS (Cedar) would be an advantage
Attributes required
*Previous experience within either service charge or major works team calculating charges
*Understanding of a lease and obligations set out in a lease
*Understanding of Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002
*Highly competent in use of excel and word
*Confident in communicating and liaising with different departments to provide/obtain information
*Able to attend evening meetings as required
