Maintenance Engineer & Site Support

Due to continued business growth and company expansion, this highly respected and financially secure company are seeking to employ a Site Maintenance Engineer for their business based in West Sussex.

The Role

Reporting to the Accounts Office Manager, you will have responsibility for the provision of a comprehensive maintenance function for the site.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Vacuum pump maintenance
• Cleaning all working filters on a daily and weekly basis
• On a weekly basis safety-check all gas bottle hoses and fittings (after gas safety course)
• Factory health and safety check
• Daily visual checks of tools and equipment
• Maintain dust rooms extractors on a monthly basis
• Clean and maintain water test equipment
• Clean and maintain all vacuum tank/resin system fittings
• PAT testing /COSHH sheets (after training)
• Weekly fire alarm tests
• Drive fork lift (after training if required)
• Maintain fork lift
• Painting both internal and external
• General maintenance duties
• Maintaining maintenance records

The Person

You will have demonstrable experience of working in a maintenance function within a manufacturing / factory environment and ideally be used to planning, scheduling and carrying out preventative maintenance tasks.  You will need a methodical and systematic approach to problem solving and be flexible and adaptable to enable you to meet changing requirements within the business.

You will have good communication skills, the ability to work well with others at all levels, and a logical mind.
