Logistics Manager
Location; Warrington
Daniel Contractors Limited is a Private Limited Company with a turnover of over £180 million employing over 1,300 members of staff. From our Headquarters in Warrington we have established ourselves as one of the UK’s key service providers to the pipeline, civil engineering and utility construction sectors. Due to recent growth, we are now looking to add to our team recruiting a Logistics Manager for our office in Warrington.
The Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company stock located throughout the various contract depots and stores in the UK, ensuring that the business has the right items at the right time.
Key objectives and duties will include;
- To minimise waste
- To minimise the storage of materials on site
- To ensure robust systems and controls are in place to track the movement of goods
- To forecast future material requirements ensuring stock is available when required
- To ensure all stores personnel are provided with roles and responsibilities and fulfil them
- To identify opportunities for cost savings or increasing efficiency
- To oversee the stores personnel and set objectives
- To Identify and implement improvements in the stores management processes and IT solutions
- To ensure regular inventory counts are undertaken at each location
Applicants for this role should be able to demonstrate strong management, organisation and communication skills, along with previous experience in a similar role.
Applicants for this role must hold a drivers license.
