My Client, a very well known, successful and established Loss and Liability Adjusters is urgently looking to recruit an experienced Liability Adjuster for a permanent career opportunity.
With their national network of experienced Adjusters, empowered by leading edge web-enabled claims management and reporting technology, our client is behind an innovative service that delivers genuine speed and cost benefits, without compromising on quality and ensures a diverse range of claims are investigated, from simple slip and trip to high value or complex cases.
Job Description
You will be instructed to investigate liability claims across all classes within an agreed authority level. This ensures a high standard of customer service, minimal outsourcing of Claims investigations and evaluation of trends and report as appropriate upon detrimental underwriting features.
Duties will include:
- Interviewing and obtaining detailed statements from witnesses and other informative sources.
- Obtaining photographic evidence, measurements and plans where necessary as well as other disclosure documentation.
- Establishing how and why events occurred and the legal liabilities which may arise.
- Based on the information gathered providing reports which include conclusions as to policy and legal liability.
- Supporting denials of liability/issues of contributory negligence with evidence.
- Organising and planning time and travel efficiently so as to complete allocated cases within agreed timescales.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will be:
- Experienced within Insurance, ideally with exposure to Liability.
- Self-motivated, proactive with an enquiring mind and common sense approach.
- A clear, logical decision maker/problem solver, committed to delivering a quality service.
- Reliable, tolerant and determined.
- Empathic communicator, able to see things from the other person’s point of view.
- An outgoing and confident disposition when dealing with people.
- Well presented and businesslike.
- Able to get on with others and be a team player.
