Our client, a leading world-wide private hospital group who are forward thinking and provide an exciting career opportunity, are looking to recruit a Legal Advisor for its Birmingham offices.
Job Description
The main purpose of the role is to provide a quality legal service to the organisation, ensuring legislative compliance.
In terms of experience and qualifications you will have a good academic record and be a qualified solicitor or barrister with a sufficient amount of post qualification experience who is computer literate and a good communicator with commercial understanding and flair.
In addition to this you will have a demonstrable practical and theoretical understanding of EU Procurement Law and a desirable (although not essential) experience of applying EU Procurement Law in a public sector organisation or advising this area in a National or International law firm. You may also have gained familiarity of the running of frameworks and dynamic purchasing systems.
Furthermore you will have an understanding of UK contract law and have experience of advising on drafting, negotiating and amending contractual documentation including that on giving effect to simple and complex procurements of both goods and services.
Person Specification
Duties will include:
Assisting and advising on all aspects of contract / procurement law.
Assisting in all aspects of company law including commercial litigation.
Drafting instructions for counsel.
Drafting, reviewing and advising on contracts.
Category management, and engaging of goods and services in the process of enhancing efficiency in procurement, assisting customers as contracting authorities, in meeting budgetary targets from time to time and generating the best possible value for money for the customers.
