Leasehold Manager

Our client, a large charitable housing organisation, are looking for a Leasehold Manager to plan, organise and control systems for the management and recovery of costs for improvements and repairs from leaseholders, tenants and residents, where appropriate. This person will be responsible to ensure that overall service costs are recovered from all residents where appropriate, working in conjunction with the Finance team and work hand in hand with both Head of customer Accounts in the Finance team and Director of Housing Management team, to ensure proactive and effective Leasehold Management.

  • Performance & Budget
  • Complaints / Compensation
  • Staff Management

The successful candidate will have as essential:

  • Commercially aware with a detailed knowledge and understanding of tenancy and leasehold agreements.
  • Substantial experience of working in a resident-focused service environment, ideally for a substantial housing provider
  • Experience of developing internal and external relationships to enhance the sustainable communities’ strategy
  • Demonstrable experience of managing tenancy and leaseholder agreements.
  • Demonstrable experience of successful asset management in a commercial or affordable housing environment.
  • Experience of financial management accounts.
  • A high level of numeracy skills sufficient to understand financial appraisals and business plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal and clear communication skills, oral and written, with the ability to promote the work of the Association effectively and to build contacts at senior level.
  • Able to produce and present complex reports, and visual and written material.
  • Able to use relevant computer systems and software, including Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Microsoft Project.
  • Sound organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks within a demanding and changing environment.
  • Experience of working within structured budgets.
  • Full driving licence and vehicle
