Junior Quality Control Technician / QA Engineer (Manufacturing)
Fenner Dunlop is part of the international Fenner group and manufactures solid woven belting for mining and extractive industries worldwide.
Position: Quality Control Technician
Location: Hull, East Yorkshire
Salary: £19k per annum
Benefits: 25 days annual leave + statutory holidays, pension scheme / life assurance and bonus.
ROLE:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a full time Junior Quality Control Technician / QA Engineer to work within their quality department putting conveyor belts through various standardised tests ensuring they meet set standards and specifications.
Reporting to the Quality Control Supervisor you will be responsible for the day to day testing of conveyor belts and rubber products.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths / Sciences at grade C or above.
b) Good communication skills are crucial.
c) Whilst previous Quality Control testing experience in a factory environment would be an advantage, full training will be provided.
d) Applicants will be able to demonstrate an ability to work alone and use initiative to prioritise tasks, team work and the ability to follow set procedures is also required.
e) As any quality issues must be highlighted to the appropriate people in a timely manner, good communication skills are also essential.
DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Experience in manufacturing/quality an advantage but not essential.
b) Counterbalance fork truck licence would be an advantage.
You may have experience of the following: Quality Control Technician, HSE Co-ordinator, Quality Control Analyst, NEBOSH, IOSH, Test Co-ordinator, Auditor, Audit Technician, Vulcanisation, Manufacturing Engineer, Machine Operator, Engineering, CNC, Production Engineer, Quality Assurance, Trainee QA Engineer, Machine Setter, etc.
