As a Junior Footwear Buyer & Merchandiser based in Cornwall you will devise, launch and deliver a footwear collection in line with the business planning calendar and critical path. Working closely with the Footwear Designer you will predict future trends and buying patterns and deliver a product, pricing and margin strategy. You will buy and source ranges that reflect the brand identity and ethos, whilst also testing new initiatives and ranges. As part of the merchandising function you will also review the supply and demand results and adapt product optimums and flows to maximize sales opportunities and minimise markdown and added costs. You will regularly review and set strategic key performance indicators with Directors and monitor slow sellers, and take action to reduce prices or set promotions as necessary.

- You will need strong negotiation and sourcing skills
- You will need to be analytical with the ability to identify peaks and troughs
- You will be a team leader and team player
- A self-starter who ideally has an understanding of online and / or catalogue retail
