Due to consistent growth an excellent opportunity exists for a highly motivated, commercially aware candidate to further develop their career within a leading specialist noise and vibration consultancy with extensive experience in environmental acoustics. You will take up the role of Junior Acoustic Technician with the view to develop into a highly trained Consultant joining the clients London based team. Within the role you will enjoy a vastly prestigious client list both in public and private sectors and carryout a range of acoustic related duties over a number of high profile developments and programs including railway assessments, airport developments, construction noise, wind farm noise, residential developments, EIA projects and entertainment assessments.

Qualifications:
MSc/BSc in Acoustics/Noise and Vibration
Post Graduate IOA Diploma
Experience
Minimum of 1 year's consultancy experience in the field of Environmental Acoustics
Technically competent and IT proficient
Commercially aware and team player
Good communication and client liaison skills
Personal experience of Noise Modeling using a recognized software package.
Extensive and detailed understanding of Environmental Acoustics.
Familiarity in using noise monitoring equipment.
The ability to produce technically accurate reports
Specialist understanding of the required standards and regulations
Resourceful and ambitious with the ability to self manage
Full driving license
Duties
Measurement surveys and reporting
Assessment in accordance with Planning Policy Guidance (PPG) 24 and BS4142
Advice on legislation
Prediction and measurement of transportation noise
Planning conditions - compliance and negotiation
Noise Impact Assessments (including Environmental Impact Assessment)
Public Inquiries- expert witness presentations
Liaise with consultants, engineers and architects
Writing high quality reports
Façade design to control external noise intrusion
Sound insulation and measurement
Industrial and commercial noise control
Consultation with Environmental Health Officers including advising on appropriate use of planning conditions
Sound insulation testing and advice on remedial treatment
Assessment of internal acoustic performance of buildings
Undertake noise assessment site visits all over the UK
Projects
Delivering a number of exciting and substantial projects within the divisions of transportation, construction, manufacturing, retail, waste disposal, recycling and gas/energy.
