Java Web Developer

Job Description:

We are looking for a full time Java web developer to join our client in delivering mobile websites.

We are looking for someone with a flexible, hands-on attitude, willing to learn and the ability to share your knowledge with the team. You will have the opportunity to refine your development and web skills, extend your understanding of all things web & mobile and help take our client to new heights. You will be creating multi channel sites using web development framework, although no knowledge of the platform is needed.

Candidate Requirements:

• Extensive knowledge and experience in using Java to deliver web sites, including integrating with third party APIs (XML, JSON) and working with MVC frameworks
• Java application server and database experience, such as Tomcat and MySQL
• Confident with using SVN
• Ability to diligently work with task tracking systems such as Jira
• Unix and bash shell experience
• Extensive knowledge and experience with developing HTML and CSS
• A passion for mobile and the benefits it brings
• Experience of Javascript, jQuery, HTML5 and CSS3
• Any experience with using Groovy will be a huge bonus
