The successful applicant will provide expertise in developing software applications and databases for internal and external customers.
The successful candidate will be working alongside a Senior Software Developer and you will benefit from the existing broad skills base which covers software and algorithm development in Perl, R, Java and PHP as well as GUI design, database design, LIMS development and implementation and statistical analysis.

Person Specification
You will be a highly motivated and innovative individual with experience in Java-based software development.
The ideal candidate would combine Java programming experience with MySQL database development and administration skills.
Knowledge of PHP would be a distinct advantage but is not essential.
From a behavioural perspective, you must a be project orientated team player with well developed problem solving skills and attention to detail.
