Our household name Financial Services client currently seeks a Java Developer for their offices based in Portsmouth. Reporting to the Head of Software Development you will have ownership of feature development from solution design through to deployment.

This role is open to fresh Java graduates as well as those with some previous commercial experience, with strong Java code development using the Eclipse platform.

The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Either a Java Graduate or sufficiently qualified by experience.
  • Demonstrable skills in debugging and sound unit testing.
  • Experience of SQL, web services, JBOSS, Drools, Hibernate and Spring are desirable are highly desirable.
  • Excellent English communication skills both written and oral.

Remuneration:

Salary: To £30,000 annualised dependent on experience
