Java Architect - Somerset - £High

My client are looking to have a big development push over the coming years, with some fantastic large development projects in their pipeline. To help support this they wish to bring on a new architect to help define technical solutions for their highest priority business requirements.

The successful candidate could be a Senior Developer looking to make the move into Architecture, or a seasoned Architect. Either way strong experience must be held on both the back and front end of the Java development stack, with experience covering as much of this as possible:

• MVC frameworks e.g. Struts, Spring, JSF
• Java development IDEs e.g. Eclipse, Weblogic Workshop
• Web services, SOAP, XML parsing, binding & transformation
• Automated unit testing tools e.g. JUnit, JMock
• Object Relational Mapping technologies e.g. Hibernate, EJB
• Source control tools e.g. Subversion, Git, Mercurial
• Software build tools e.g. Ant, Maven
