Italian Speaking Qualified Accountant

We are currently looking for a multi-lingual newly qualified Accountant. Applicant must be fluent in Italian and a business standard of English. Due to the autonomy of the role, it is important that applicants have at least three years work experience within the accounting function under Italian GAAP. Applicants should  be newly qualified or in the final stages of qualification e.g. UK - Member of a professional Accountancy body such as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants  or the Chartered Institute of Management Accounts; Italy - Revisore Contabile or Dottore Commercialista.

This position will require the post holder to deliver defined, high quality financial services, to agreed performance and cost targets, on behalf of all relevant businesses & sites in an environment that encourages continuous improvement to the underlying global processes and outcomes. This will cover the following areas:

• Italian GAAP General ledger and compliance activities, including VAT, Intrastat, Statutory Account preparations, Tax returns and other local compliance
• Financial accounting for group reporting according to US GAAP
• Sarbanes Oxley compliance activities

You will also be required to ensure all work performed is delivered on time to ensure the ASSC meet  the company’s Corporate requirements as laid out in the group reporting timetable.
Previous experience with audit firms or multinational company is looked upon favourably.

SAP and previous experience would be an advantage. We would also ask that applicants have a good level of PC literacy in MS office applications, particularly Excel.
