Customer Support Specialist

We are a young rapidly expanding software development company producing innovative financial management software for the education sector.  To support our continuing growth we are looking for talented individuals to join our Customer Support team, supporting 2500 users across the UK.

The primary function of the role is handling customer queries via the telephone and email. You will need to manage a wide range of customer queries, including simple application related questions, advising on "best use" practices, diagnosing and resolving problems, and liaising with the software development team when appropriate.  The role also includes working on other projects such as product documentation and product testing when required.

Candidates will have a minimum of 3 years solid commercial IT experience backed by relevant formal qualifications.  Previous experience in a customer-facing role providing application support or technical support is essential. You must also be able to demonstrate strong problem solving skills, personal organisation and the ability to multi-task.  Excellent communication skills and solid customer handling experience are a prerequisite as is the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.

Technical experience should include Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office and a general knowledge of networks.  Knowledge of databases and programming experience with Visual Basic would be a distinct advantage.

This role is based in Eastleigh, Hampshire, close to both train and bus stations, the M3 and M27 motorways are easily accessible thus providing excellent transport links across the South of England.

Occasional travel may be required to customer sites in the UK.
