Job title: IT / Operations Manager

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (dependant on experience)

Location: Croydon

Skills: Experience of working within a software house or the public sector preferred. Strong IT and people management skills. Strong business acumen and the ability to implement strategy. Development background, or strong experience of leading development teams preferred.

The Role:

Is working for a fantastic client that specialises in information solutions. They have a large portfolio of software solutions, and are looking for a candidate that has worked for a similar organisation ideally. You will be required to;

  • Manage all departments within IT, including the Development, Support, Testing and Implementation teams
  • Get involved in people management for other areas of the business, outside of IT
  • Be responsible for the day to day IT infrastructure, as well as get involved with future strategic development and road-mapping to achieve and support company objectives
  • Drive the product road maps, and liaise with the sales team on issues and new versions
  • Help ensure all departments are working to their set objectives.
  • Assist and manage IT projects
  • Reporting and leaderships responsibilities

The Candidate:

The successful candidate:

  • Will ideally have solid experience of running the operational side of a software company, or experience within the public sector.
  • Will have experience of managing teams, both technical and non-technical
  • Will have a unique blend of IT and commercial knowledge.
  • Will have strong business acumen and the ability to implement growth strategy and development strategy.
  • IT skills will include knowledge of Project Management, Infrastructure, and some development skills including Delphi, C#, .Net, SQL, Oracle.
  • Will be degree qualified, ideally CS Disciplines.
