IT Manager

P & S are recruiting for an IT Manager based at their premises in Norwich.

Reporting to the Operations Director, this role (subject to 3 months probationary period) will include but is not limited to the following duties:

• Managing the IT department workload and IT staff based in Norwich
• Managing the IT infrastructure for the group of companies based in Norwich, Plymouth, Gt. Yarmouth, Brazil, UAE, Singapore and Australia
• Proactive management of the remote bases through regular scheduled communication
• Research new technology and propose/recommend/implement where business benefit identified
• Reduce costs through regular review of IT spend
• Compile reports from business critical systems as and when required
• Train staff on new technology and encourage self help fixes through regular Hint and Tip style bulletins
• Provide rota based out of hours cover
• Provide end user support where necessary

Experience in the following areas is therefore essential:

• Windows XP Professional
• Windows Server 2000/2003
• Microsoft SQL Server 2000
• Microsoft Exchange 2003
• Active Directory
• IP based networking and networking hardware
• Office 2003 Professional including Access databases
• Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services
• Crystal Reports
• IP and PBX based telephony
• Transact SQL
