Job Description
My client are a large international manufacturing organisation who are looking for an I.T manager to lead the UK division of their IT and Business System functions.
Leading a small team of I.T staff, you will ideally have experience in a similar role managing a team of I.T staff, preferably within a manufacturing/production environment. Due to continued success, my client have recently acquired a new site and are in the process of beginning to integrate the I.T systems cross-site. Any experience integrating two or more businesses together in the past will be a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
• IT decision making and input into IT strategy including implementation and standardisation of IT policies and procedures
• Integration of common shared systems (lotus notes/internet/CRM, etc)
• Liaison with teams cross-country and internationally.
• Future proof and development of the Company IT systems
• Undertake development initiatives for direct reports
• Departmental budget control and supplier management
• Specification, installation and maintenance of software and hardware infrastructure e.g. mobile devices, networks, internet, scanners etc.
Key Person Requirements:
• Knowledge of ERP Systems (ideally SAP)
• Strong technical background (Windows, Lotus Notes)
• Demonstrable track record of multi site, multi disciplined teams
• Experience in Strategy Planning and Budget Control, Man-Management and the will to be 'hands on'

PLEASE NOTE: Travel within the midlands will be expected in this role on a regular basis (this generally will not be more than once a week), also occassional travel to Germany will be required (approximately 1-2 days every 2 months)
