One of the UK's leading house builders is seeking a Trainee IT Service Desk Analyst to join the Group's IT Department based in the Head Office in York and play a key role in supporting the IT network throughout the business. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate at the start of their IT career to develop a long-term role in IT support with a major UK Company who build around 10,000 beautifully designed new homes a year in more than 400 prime locations nationwide. As a Trainee IT Service Desk Analyst you will provide telephone and on-line support to a wide range of internal end users on a variety of standard and bespoke IT packages. Tasks will include logging and responding to incidents, carrying out diagnostics and fault-finding to resolve as many incidents as possible on first contact.

You will have enthusiasm and a willingness to learn, but above all should be a good team player and possess excellent communication skills as you will be delivering support via the telephone, remote access and e-mail. You should have a minimum of 5 GCSE's at grade C or above including Maths, English and IT. A knowledge of Microsoft applications would be advantageous.
