This is an excellent opportunity to joinEurope's leading Home Improvement Retail Group. As an IT Audit Manager you will be tasked with assisting in the planning, management and delivery of a risk based Group wide IT audit programme. The role will encapsulate all of the groupsUKand European operations, as well as opportunities to work inAsia. The role involves interaction with all levels of management up to and including Board Directors.

About the Role

The main responsibilities of the role include:
  • Helping to develop and manage the IT Audit Team.
  • Assisting the IT Head of Audit and Regional Heads of Audit to designing and delivering the IT Audit programme of work.
  • Identifying/monitoring emerging risks and provide appropriate briefings to the IT Head of Audit and Regional Heads of Audit.
  • Undertaking audit assignments on any IT or systems related topic seen as a priority to the company.
  • Supporting Financial and Operational Audit teams in the assessment of the IT control environment.
  • Preparing reports for various levels of line management, up to Main Board level, and gaining agreement in relation to the recommendations presented.
  • Representing the department on systems working parties when called upon to do so.
  • Providing internal consultancy type services around IT related issues relevant to the business.


About You

The successful candidate is likely to be/demonstrate:
  • Team and personnel development/management skills
  • Proven ability to undertake IT audit assignments, to quality standards and timescales, and without supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills. Proven ability to influence decision makers.
  • Ability to communicate on a 1 to 1 and 1 to many basis, showing and instilling confidence.
  • Good report writing skills.
  • Fluency in French desirable.
  • A strong understanding ofSAP.
  • Broad understanding of retail and commercial IT systems and the development and operation of such.
  • Experience of modern IT infrastructure components (Unix, Windows, Wide Area Networking, Internet connectivity)
  • Educated to Degree Level - (preferably IT related)
  • Professional Qualification desirable - (e.g. CISA).
  • Ability to utilise IT interrogation tools (ACLor IDEA).
  • Skilled in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of applications
