IT Manager (Based in Germany)

Our client is a leading global Charter Broker (aviation) they are growing year on year and are now looking for an IT Manager to join the organisation.  (based in Frankfurt)

Main responsibilities include

• To assist the Head of ICT in ensuring that an effective IT service is provided globally by supporting all users and maintaining a healthy IT system.
• To propose and implement improvements to the IT infrastructure in worldwide.
  
  • Resolving IT queries.
  • Provide support to all users of the company’s IT system worldwide to address queries, resolve systems issues and advise on use of systems.
  • Provide training on effective use of hardware and software for new and existing users of the company’s IT system.
  • Set up and maintain BlackBerry services for all users.
  • Provide costing reports for the accounts department.

The successful candidate will have a broad knowledge of computer systems, applications and operating systems. With working knowledge in the following systems

Microsoft Operating systems ranging from Windows 7 through to Windows 2008 Server. Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WINS, WSUS, Print Servers.

• Knowledge of the following applications: Microsoft Office (all versions), SQL Server, Terminal Services, Citrix Xenapp 6, VMWare 4.0, Trend Antivirus, Backup Exec, other general applications.
• Knowledge of Networking; TCP/IP, VPN configuration, DNS Options.
• Experience working at senior level in 2nd line support role or equivalent
