My client based in Kings Hill is looking for an experienced Investment Controller.

Main purpose of job:

1. Provision of timely and accurate reporting for investments held for:

a. Private Client offerings

b. Client charities and foundations

c. Pooled funds and reserves

2. Maintain strong, pro-active working relationships with all internal and external customers, sharing specialist knowledge and providing professional support

3. Continuously monitor control measures and identify changes to improve effectiveness and to accommodate revisions to policy or legislation

Key Job Responsibilities:

1. Provision of timely and accurate reporting for investments held, including:

Maintain the investment records in Wealth Manager and other systems

Reconciliation of investment management systems and other records to the relevant general ledgers

Timely and accurate valuation of investments in accordance with the relevant accounting policy

Maintain custody records of the investment assets and liaise with custodians as necessary

Facilitate the monitoring of investments held against the investment policy appropriate to the relevant investment portfolio

Maintain investment income entitlements and ensure receipt

Record investments in accordance with current accounting standards

Provide support the external audit of investment assets

Maintain financial control during day to day operations.

Identify risks and issues as they arise

Experience

1. Investment administration and transaction processing (in a Private Client environment would be an advantage)

2. Investment control and reconciliations

3. Use of a wealth management system

4. Prepared to drive change and seek continuous improvement

Qualifications

Investment administration or accounting qualifications would be advantageous

Specialist Skills/ Ability/Knowledge

1. Knowledge of investment administration

2. Knowledge of regulatory/compliance issues relating to charitable trusts

Personal Qualities

1. Strong customer focus providing a superior customer experience and build long-term relationships

2. Ability to manage a diverse workload in a busy environment, prioritising effectively
