Accident Exchange is one of the largest accident management companies in Europe.

Working under the ABI General Terms of Agreement, we offer motorists involved in non-fault accidents a like-for-like replacement vehicle for the period that they are deprived of the use of their car.

In simple terms, we hire a replacement vehicle while we organise and manage the repairs to the vehicle on the customers behalf.  When the hire vehicle is returned to us, we pass the bill to the insurance company of the at fault driver.

We are presently looking to recruit a Investigations Support Coordinator to; facilitate and support a team of Field Based Investigators ensuring an effective use of time and resources in order to recover against non negotiable revenue targets.

 To provide investigatory services in order to assist with the tracing of non-cooperative, and astray parties.

Key Accountabilities:

  • To use an array of investigation techniques such as internet searches, review of claims data whilst liaising both over the phone and face to face with the appropriate populace in order to trace non-cooperative and astray parties
  • To make initial contact with non-cooperative and astray parties via verbal and written communication to build relationships and to establish the need for a field based visit or whether the information required could be sourced in a more appropriate manner negating the costs of a visit
  • To provide necessary data, reports and information to allow the trace of non-cooperative, and astray parties
  • Plan and prioritise Field Based Investigations as per an agreed work cycle ensuring visits are completed within a timely and appropriate manner
  • Provide office based support to ensure that key research and information can be provided to Field Based Investigators ensuring an efficient use of their time and resources
  • Manage and update all files in accordance with the outcome of research completed and field based visit activity
  • To ensure records are updated on a daily basis showing a true reflection of workloads
  • To ensure reporting standards meet the necessary administrative and legal requirements
  • To maintain relationships with key business referrers and other stakeholders both internally and externally in order to ensure delivery against defined expectations
  • To spot and document issues/trends which impact the ability to recover the outstanding debt targets
  • Any other adhoc duties that may arise.

Candidates will possess or demonstrate the following:

  • Experience in a similar role or a similar industry essential
  • Investigation experience
  • Ideally knowledge of the ABI GTA
  • Clear verbal communication skills, persuasive and assertive with proven negotiation skills
  • Previous experience in a fast paced environment
  • Results driven with the ability to display tenacity
  • Good geographical  knowledge of the UK
  • Excellent Microsoft office skills including Word and Excel
  • Ability to think outsider the box
  • Excellent fact finder with fantastic communication skills
  • Effective and demonstrable time management skills
  • The ability to prioritise recognising importance and urgency
  • Ability to question decisions
  • Detail conscious with a logical thought pattern
