Technical Fibre Products is renowned for manufacturing a range of technically advanced materials used across a diverse array of industries world-wide, including Automotive, Aerospace, Defence and Medical.

Highly regarded for their innovation, quality of manufacturing and superb customer service, our client employs some of the most capable professionals in the industry. In an effort to support their aggressive growth plans, they are now looking to make a key appointment to their International Commercial Team.

A vacancy exists for an experienced Sales Manager to join the team, who will take full responsibility for commercial sales of the entire product portfolio across a range of defined international territories.

Empowered with a high degree of autonomy, the successful candidate will focus on developing new geographic and industrial markets whilst driving the growth of existing markets through greater market penetration. Able to effectively use a series of focussed marketing tools and detail aids, the Sales Manager will be expected to accurately interpret customer needs, working with the Technology Team to deliver tailor-made solutions that add significant value to end-users.

The successful candidate will operate from the head office in the North West, and will be expected to spend a significant amount of time traveling both throughout the UK and internationally.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Managing and developing new business from the existing customer base
  • Preparation of quotations, business cases, proposals, specifications and account strategies
  • New business development
  • Strategic selling and market development
  • Supporting the development of new products via commercial leadership of the Technology Team

Technical Fibre Products was formed by James Cropper plc in 1985 on the same site with the strategic intention to diversify the Company’s product portfolio. As a result, Technical Fibre Products manufactures nonwoven mats and veils for industrial markets from synthetic or mineral fibres such as carbon, aramid, ceramic and glass.

Key to the success of the organisation is a commitment to a strong, customer-centric focus. This approach facilitates the delivery of groundbreaking product innovation through working in partnership with both customers and suppliers. Such alliances include joint development programmes and supply arrangements, which have long-term mutual benefit.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Sales Manager with proven experience of working within international markets and negotiating commercial deals. Entrepreneurial in approach, they will be commercially astute and must be able to demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. Fluency in at least one foreign language (German, French) is desirable and would present a key advantage.
