My client are a global leader in the shipping sector, a forward thinking company with an innovative, motivational and entrepreneurial spirit!

With a large presence in the middle east and across Europe, your role will require regular extensive international travel.

Basic salary up to £50-60k + Attractive Bonus package (OTE £80k – Uncapped)

Job Description

You will be required to deliver impressive sales figures within international markets.

Your main duties will include…
To operate as an international sales manager, responsible for sales revenue from both new and existing customers within the global commercial marine industry and achieve profitable growth within their designated region.

To prospect, develop and close new business for safety and environmental products and services for mandatory requirements. The majority of the activity will be creating new business in new and existing customers and a minority of the job will be developing existing business.

To proactively manage, motivate and develop strong working relationships with overseas sales agents/resellers in specific regions.

To provide the Directors with regular reports on key sales and marketing indicators in the business

To carry out sales and marketing visits overseas. 50% of your time will be spent travelling and you will be expected to manage your time and meetings whilst in market.
Generate and follow up sales enquires. You will be expected to exceed your monthly, quarterly and annual budgets.

Whilst travelling you will be expected to manage your day to day workload in conjunction with your Internal Sales Executive.

To identify and explore new product and/or market opportunities. Maintain intellectual focus on product and market developments.

To provide feedback on competitor activity. Attend and promote the Company and products at trade exhibitions, visits and meetings and act in a professional manner at all times to promote a positive image of the Company.

If your abode is considered remote from the office, you will be expected to have a home office with fast speed broadband access and be able to work effectively from there on a day to day basis. At regular intervals you will be expected to spend a day or two in the office, including monthly sales meetings.

Person Specification

You will have high levels of energy, attitude and professional sales skills.

You will have already proven yourself as a high achiever in the sales discipline and will be a true self starter, with an unrivalled work ethic.

A PROVEN new business winner and new customer acquisition over 5 years;
Experience in international sales;

Experience of motivating and developing strong working relationships with overseas channel partners.

Language skills- Preferable

Higher Education – Degree Level (or equivalent) - Preferable

Experience selling into the Shipping Industry- desirable
