As a result of growth, our well established and respected client has a vacancy for an Intelligence Database Analyst. This role will support the delivery of first-class counter fraud services to the UK insurance industry.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Manage the effective performance, integrity and security of the intelligence database.
- Ensure that new intelligence is ingested into the database effectively and accurately to ensure the accurate identification and retrieval of intelligence.
- Ensure the data remains consistent across the database and clearly defined
- Ensure that the intelligence stored within the database complies with the intelligence retention protocols
- Generate accurate analysis of current trends and threats from the intelligence data held
- Produce intelligence trend and threat reports
- Ensure there is suitable provision for data security and recovery control
- Produce management information for customers and stakeholders
- Assist Head of Intelligence in delivery of ad-hoc research and analysis for internal
stakeholders and development of new intelligence products.
- Maintain regular contact with external stakeholders; including customers, Interface Managers, law enforcement and regulators
- Delivery against annual Business objectives
- Delivery against personal development plan
The successful applicant needs to have:
- Experience in the application of the i2 software product specifically i2 Analyst's Notebook, i2 TextChart, i2 iBase Designer and i2 iBase Essentials as well as ETL Process.
- Experience of data analytics including database design, data loading, reporting, queries and stored procedures.
- Ability to write and understand Microsoft SQL as well as write SQL statements, stored procedures and views using industry best practices for security and efficiency
- Experience in any of the following structured data platforms or ERP systems: SQL Server, MS Access.
- Previous experience of analysing large quantities of data to identify suspect or unusual patterns of activity and trends
- Minimum of 12 months business analytics or similar experience
- Experience of producing high quality intelligence products reports/summaries/briefings
- Demonstrable track record of problem solving through analysis
