Our Client, one of the countries leading insurers are looking for Insurance Sales Consultants to join their rapidly expanding Company.
Responsibilities:
- Dealing with new & existing clients over the phone and face to face
- Going through new private car quotes for customers via incoming & outgoing calls and in the office
- Quoting & processing mid-term adjustments/cancellations
- Contacting clients prior to renewal in order to check their details for the new quote
- Calculating renewal quotes and issuing invitations
- Chasing up clients leading up to the renewal date to try & secure the policy
- Completing the relevant forms with clients and maintaining notes on their files
- Selling add-ons with new business & renewal policies
- Obtaining details of other policies from clients that we may be able to offer quotes on (household, other cars, commercial etc)
- Chasing clients for documents/payments and issuing cancellation letters where applicable
Person Specification:
- The Confidence to learn and develop through continuous training
- Good communication skills both over the telephone and face to face
- Ability to present complex information in clear, simple terms
- The drive to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
- Strong numeracy and literacy, along with good keyboard skills
- The highest standard of integrity and honesty
- Technical insurance knowledge an advantage but not essential
- Ability to motivate self to achieve targets and maximise branch performance
- Good organisational skills, to be able to assist the Branch Manager within the branch
- Hands-on approach to take an active role in sales and meeting customer’s needs, both face to face and over the telephone
- Ability and willingness to share your knowledge and skills with less experienced members of the team through coaching and mentoring
- Flexible approach to work as you may be requested to work at different locations and with different teams

Your role will be to introduce customers to a wide range of insurance products from leading providers, helping them to find the package with the features and benefits they’re looking for.
You’ll be given all the skills training and product knowledge you need to progress and to hit your challenging but realistic sales targets.
A background in insurance would be useful but is not essential you will be trained on the Companies competitive range of products.
You must have a proven track record in sales and the ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise way.
