Insurance Claims Executive - Motor/Casualty bodily injury

An involved Claims Executive role, working for a prestigious Global Insurer, in their City offices, dealing with Motor/Casualty bodily injury claims. The key focus will be on the management of a portfolio of high value excess of loss reinsurance claims on a direct basis. The person will work very closely with other members of the Claims Department and Underwriters to successfully carry out the role. In addition the person will work closely with clients and there will be a significant amount of direct contact with clients.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Claims Executive Responsibilities:
To assess and address coverage issues on notified claims.
To verify claims information supplied by Reinsureds.
Inputting of claims information into the various claims systems
Assess the extent and timing of investigations into Primary Policy liability, legal liability and quantum.
Consider potential liabilities and accurately reserve these, referring cases outside authority to the Regional Claims Manager.
To work with the Reinsured to ensure the mitigation of all claims.
Liaison with Solicitors, Loss Adjusters and other experts as and when necessary.
Build and maintain good working relationships with clients and participate in regular review meetings with them.
Monitor, review, analysis and report on client needs.
Provide technical claims knowledge and support to internal and external clients.
Provide training and advice to clients.
REQUIREMENTS:
relevant claims experience in a claims role ideally within a Primary Insurance Company.
Preferably experience handling motor/casualty bodily injury claims
Ideally University Degree and/or partial completion of ACII examinations.
Excellent IT Skills (Word, Excel & Lotus notes).
Good interpersonal skills.
Organised and able to prioritise and manage own workload.
