Infrastructure Engineer

If you’re interested in playing a hands-on role in providing solid foundations for vital operations, there’s an Army job waiting for you right now.

You’ll be a core member of a team that assesses facilities, produces designs and supervises projects in a huge range of engineering fields. Depending on the experience you bring with you from civilian life, you might find yourself involved in anything from constructing buildings, roads or airfields to rebuilding railways and ports or even providing power and water infrastructure.

Aged between 17 and 42 and physically fit, you enjoy working outdoors, and you’re as keen on fixing things as you are on computing and technology. You’d like to gain experience in construction, ammunition handling, IT, driving, and working as a vehicle or equipment mechanic. There are opportunities available for people with a range of qualifications and experience - from NVQ to Chartered status. A driving licence is essential.

We carry out construction projects all over the world. You’ll provide valuable consultation and design services to make them happen. Working with people from diverse industries and backgrounds on a huge range of projects in all kinds of environments, sometimes with limited resources, there’s no better way to develop your engineering skills. You’ll enjoy opportunities to gain useful qualifications and move up the ranks too.
