Information Officer

Our Client is looking for experienced Information Officers to join there team. 

Purpose of Post:

To facilitate the Council’s vision for a seamless access to information, in relation to all Council services at the Barnsley Connects Contact Centre. Working in a team covering time within the 24 hours day 365 days per year including any bank holidays.

To assist, identify and resolve customer enquiries with differing degrees of complexity including general knowledge enquiries and any relating to council services or its partnering organisations.

To promote and demonstrate excellent customer care skills ensuring that the service is delivered within any agreed service level agreements.

Key Areas:

General to all Posts

•To provide high quality information and advice, resolve enquiries which are diverse and cross cutting which vary in degrees of complexity.

•Provision of high quality customer service in a friendly, courteous, helpful and efficient manner.

•To maintain a full working knowledge of numerous key systems that supports the delivery of telephone services to customers, and provides reliable up to date information to the 'reception service’ and the public.

•To have due regard for confidentiality.
