We have a pressing requirement for a strong Informatica ETL resource to be based from our client’s customer site in West London. The profile is for someone who is very strong in Informatica, but also has some good general database experience as well, ideally Oracle BI, PL/SQL and SQL.
The project is to centralise VAT reporting for Europe. At the moment each country that the client operates in in Europe submits its own VAT return – the data is collected by the individual Finance departments and then submitted by the Tax departments. In order to provide a consistent approach and reduce costs, a Vat Competency Centre is being set up to handle VAT reporting for the whole of Europe using a single reporting application.
The application needs to be fed with financial data from approx. 80 different ERP systems used across Europe. Your involvement in the project in question will be responsibility for utilising Informatica to extract data from these systems, manipulating it into a common format and then passing it out to the application. Wave 1 of the project is scheduled to go live in Autumn 2012.
Essential Skills
• Informatica ETL development skills using PowerCentre Informatica
• Oracle v10g
• PL-SQL
Role may initially require strong analysis and documentation skills.
Candidate Specification
• A good team player and able to work independently.
• A self-starter who is proactive in nature.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Abilities to build cross functional and external relationships.
• Effective negotiating and influencing skills.
• Strong presentation skills.
