1. Core Purpose:
To deliver, install, integrate and repair domestic appliance products in customer’s homes. Providing excellent technical services to our customers, whilst operating within a safe working environment and following company best practice.
2. Accountability and Impact
The In-Home White Goods Engineer is responsible and accountable for the safe delivery, installation, integration and repair of customer products whilst delivering a high level of customer service:
- Maintaining contact with customers during the day keeping them up to date with excepted arrival times.
- Engaging the customer in their home, keeping them informed and updated while repairing, installing or integrating their product.
-Maintaining contact with the customer service centre, ensuring daily developments are recorded.
- Debriefing line managers with concerns, security and health and safety issues.
-Due care of customer and company property.
-Seeking guidance for issues that directly impact on cost, customer service, or Company policy. Liaison with manufacturers at point of delivery where necessary.
-Manage and maintain product spares in-line with company best practiceFeedback to technical, repair and installation audit group.
3. Leadership
Positively influencing colleagues through the ability to lead by example. Sharing skills, knowledge and best practice with In Home Drivers/Installers to support their development.

4. Applying Knowledge
To report and document outcomes of repair work and ensure cost effective decisions are made with regard to write offs. Maintain and update technical knowledge in a proactive manner.
5. Working With Others
Share knowledge and escalate issues through effective communication with colleagues. Ability to recommend and advise customers as required.
Supporting the training team with on the road and site based coaching and mentoring of In Home Drivers/Installers as and when needed.
Provision of telephone technical support to field teams as required.
6. Skills and Knowledge
Essential
Full UK driving licence.
Experience in a customer contact environment.
Knowledge and awareness of Electrical or Electronic servicing.
Experience in White Goods electrical fault finding, testing and repair.
Ability to work as a team and independently.

6.5 ton licence (training given).
City & Guilds qualification or equivalent.
