Implementation Engineer (Electrical and Vehicle Operations Testing) to £42k

Position: Implementation Engineer
Location: Basildon, UK with travel within EU (and occasionally the US)
Salary: £32,000 - £42,000

ROLE:
The role of the Implementation Engineer is to create test sequences that fulfill Electrical and Vehicle Operations testing requirements, and to implement and maintain these in an assembly plant.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Implement requirements per Vehicle Operations program management direction with MAHLE Powertrain`s Visual Authoring Tool (VAT) into a plant database.
b) Validate all changes to the best of ability prior to releasing to the assembly plant.
c) On-site (in plant) build support.
d) 24hr On-call phone support for calibration or calibration related issues affecting production.
e) Support Engineering testing events.
f) Install and supporting s/w on plant testing PC`s.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Bachelor`s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other relevant technical degree.
b) Experience in Automotive Diagnostics or related experience.
c) Passport required for travel within the EU (occasional travel to US).
d) Knowledge of Electronic Engine Controls,and assembly plant processes.
e) Ability to work as part of a team, but also must be able to work with a minimum of supervision and be capable of making decisions using available information and guidelines, and at the same time knowing when to ask for help.
f) Must be able to work effectively with a variety of people on a daily basis. This will include management, software, hardware, and application engineers, as well as other technicians and customers.
