An important charitable organisation, that provide invaluable services to various members of the public, are seeking a professional Human Resources Support Officer to join their growing team.

This is an autonomous role that reports directly into director level.
Duties:
• Maintain a log of existing HR policies and procedures; ensuring they are regularly reviewed by the Organisation Director. Make amendments to such policies as directed and ensure that changes are effectively communicated to all staff within the Commission.
• Assist in the development of new policies and procedures when required. This may include undertaking research into current good practice and latest legal requirements.
• Provide advice to all staff when required on the completion of the HR forms such as learning and development applications, learning and development evaluation forms, flexi leave forms and return to work forms.
• Provide administrative support to the delivery of the learning and development strategy; help to source appropriate training interventions. Produce a quarterly report which evaluates all learning and development activity.
• Provide administrative support to all aspects of recruitment; including advertising, interviews, pre-employment checks, induction and probation.
• Maintain HR records in line with the Data Protection Act and internal procedures. Identify ways in which record keeping can be improved.
Candidates will have demonstrable experience in all the above duties, ideally with a strong academic basis. Due to the nature of the role applicants will be comfortable working under minimal supervision with the ability to effectively prioritise workload and use initiative at all times.
