We are looking for 2 interns to work for Whitbread in the HR function for 12 weeks over the summer. You'll be placed in one of our specialist HR areas, for example Employment Policy, Resourcing, Learning & Development, Reward or International HR and will gain valuable work experience in a fast paced, commercial environment and gain a real understanding of our people agenda.
You will be placed in a role which gives you genuine accountability for the duration of your internship, alongside insight into our people related strategy and associated challenges. Along with the day to day responsibilities, we'll ask you to deliver a work related HR project, which gives you the chance to shape our people strategy and add real value to our business.
At the end of the internship, if you really shine, we may be in a position to make you a formal offer of employment as our HR Graduate when you complete your degree course.
What we're looking for in you:
We’re looking for people who could be the future leaders in a FTSE 100 business, and it’s important to us that you’ve proven your drive to be world class. As such, you’ll already be clear you want a career in HR and will be studying for a relevant degree, preferably in HR, business or a psychology related field, and have at least 300 UCAS Points across 3 A-Levels.
Personality is also important to us; we’re looking for dynamic, ambitious undergraduates with fantastic people skills. You’ll be working closely with a range of people across all areas of the business, from our team members in our restaurants, hotels and coffee shops to our Directors at Head Office, so you’ll need to be able to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels.
How you can join us:

Those who are successful at this stage will be invited to an assessment centre.
