Housing Support Worker, Swindon
Temporary to Permanent £10.00 - £11.00 per Hour
We are looking for a housing support worker to work for a housing association based in Swindon.
The organisation are a provider of social and supported housing and have a regional office in Swindon.
You will be required to work directly with the residents in the local area that have a need for housing related support. The residents live within social housing and the majority of the residents you will be assisting with have history of mental health issues. The key responsibilities include:-
* Assisting tenants in maintaining their tenancies, working to agreed support plans
* Actively promoting resident independence
* Signposting to external agencies and providers offering appropriate services
* General housing management and welfare & benefits advice
Successful applicants will have experience in housing support, desirably with an understanding of the needs of this vulnerable client group. You will also need to have an enhanced CRB check issue within the last 12months. Vehicle access is required.
The post is an initial temporary position that will go permanent after 2 months. The role is full time Monday - Friday 9-5 with a flexitime working pattern. Permanent starting salary is £16,743, 33 days annual leave.
